Our virtual open days give you the chance to meet tutors and students, ask questions, and get a taste of what online distance learning is actually like.

The technology we use to run our virtual open days is also used to run interactive lectures on online degrees, so you can try it out and see what you think before signing up for a course. And better still, you don’t need to leave home!

When’s the next virtual open day?

Below are the dates of our virtual open days. Please book your place using the booking form. We will then send you joining instructions to ensure you can access the virtual environment on the day.  All virtual open days run between 6-7pm (UK GMT local time).

You can watch any of the past Virtual Open days to gain a feel of what happens during the virtual open day through the Wimba Classroom web conference software.

To participate in the virtual open day you will need to run a Wimba Classroom wizard by clicking on one of the virtual open day events below. The wizard will ensure your computer can run the Wimba Classroom application without any problems.

Essentially, the wizard is designed to make sure Java versions are correct, as well as ensuring pop-ups are not blocked from the website and making sure headphone playback and microphone recording are working.
