Financial assistance
As well as our payment plans which can save you money or help spread the cost of your course, you may be entitled to claim a contribution toward your course or associated costs. We’ve listed below the assistance we currently know about.
EU students
You may be eligible to apply for financial help towards the cost of your tuition fees if:
- you are an EU* national or a family member of an EU* national
- you have been living within the European Economy Area (EEA)** or Switzerland for the three years immediately before the start of your course
- your main reason for being in the EEA or Switzerland is not to receive full time education.
*EU Countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
** EEA includes the above EU countries plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
Disabled Students Allowance (DSA)
If you have a disability you can apply to Student Finance England (SFE) for DSA funding. This funding is for support eg specialist equipment/software/materials etc during your studies. It is not available to cover tuition fees. Visit direct.gov.uk for further information.
