Course Description:

accreditation logo for the British Psychological Society

Our MSc Psychology Conversion degree is the only online conversion course accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and has been designed for anyone who doesn’t hold a psychology undergraduate degree but wants to pursue a career in psychology.

Obtain your Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC)

You can study this conversion course up to Postgraduate Diploma level to obtain your Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC). It will provide you with a grounding in the core areas of psychology, enabling you to move into more specialised postgraduate training, such as health psychology or sports psychology.

This course alone does not allow you to become a practicing psychologist, but provides an opportunity for a non-psychology graduate to meet one of the entry requirements of further study, which can in turn lead to becoming a practicing psychologist. For example by taking our MSc Health Psychology online or choosing another specialist area such as clinical psychology.

Further information about how to become a practicing psychologist can be found on the BPS website.

Accrue qualifications as you study

We've designed this course so that it's flexible to suit you. It will take you 2-3 years to study for the full MSc, depending on how much learning you can fit in around your other commitments.

It's possible to gain the Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits) and be eligible for GBC within 15 months.

Interactive and practical learning

This online learning degree is specifically designed by our expert online tutors and contains plenty of opportunities to interact with tutors and other students through online discussion forums, virtual class room sessions and more traditional forms of communication such as email and Skype.

Studying online gives you the flexibility to study at the most convenient time and place for you. Course modules still operate within a fixed trimester but you can choose to study during the day, in the evenings or at the weekend rather than having to attend fixed lectures.

While the programme structure does allow you the flexibility to choose the best time to study, there are defined module timetables with study patterns - we will advise you of your study pattern when you enrol.

To obtain Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) you must study the core modules listed below.
