You can top up your existing skills and qualifications by studying our University Advanced Diploma in Computing and Information Technology within 12 months by completing three core 20 credit modules.
This course is ideal for career progression and continuing professional development (CPD) or as a platform to continue your study to a full degree with our Computing and Information Technology BSc (Hons) top up.
It is suited to those who have an HND or Foundation degree in computing, have an Edexcel BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma in Computing and Systems Development, or a BCS Diploma in IT. There is also an access route if you have an HNC with 3 years relevant work experience.
If you decide you would like to continue with the BSc top up degree, you can then tailor your study by selecting optional modules in key areas such as Information Security, Business, Leadership and Management, Understanding Mobile Technology Development, Project Management and Implementation to complement your chosen career path and suit your personal interests.
We’ll encourage you to develop abilities such as critical research, analysis, innovative thinking and making high level decisions – all skills that today's employers value.
You will learn to critically evaluate and challenge concepts and ideas so it’s an exciting process. During the course, there is ample opportunity to interact and network with other IT professionals from around the world, helping you to widen your professional network.
Studying online gives you the flexibility to study at the most convenient time and place for you. Course modules still operate within a fixed trimester but you can choose to study during the day, in the evenings or at the weekend rather than having to attend fixed lectures.
