What did you think of the course?

I chose to study online as it fitted in with my work and home commitments and I found the online resources and support good as my emails were answered and there were no problems in contacting the team. The resources and support tools provided were easy to use and being able to submit assignments online was great.

I would recommend studying online if you work full time as it is a great way to further your education.

How have you managed the workload of studying?

Working full time meant that I had weekends and evenings for study. I set myself a work plan and tried to stick to it. I had to be disciplined but the study topics were interesting and kept me motivated.

What would you say to someone coming Derby?

I would encourage anyone who is thinking of taking this course to give it a go. You have to be committed but the results are worth it and it's a really rewarding experience.

What are you doing now?

I am working in Local Government as the Environmental Protection Team Leader within Environmental Health Services. The independent study gave me the opportunity to produce a good piece of work which I have been able to utilise at work.
