A Chef-Lecturer at the University of Derby Buxton will appear during ITV's This Morning this week, after reaching the finals of a search for the UK's tastiest meat free dish.
As one of three finalists in the Linda McCartney Foods recipe competition, a short TV advert featuring Robert Stordy will air during ITV's This Morning on Thursday April 7 at exactly 11.23am. The other two finalists' adverts will air in the same time slot on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Viewers of the advert can then vote for Robert's recipe for vegetarian moussaka on ITV website www.itv.com/linda/, where the ad already appears. The dish with the most votes will be developed to become the latest in the Linda McCartney range.
Robert was filmed creating the dish at home, then he and the film crew took the finished moussaka to the University of Derby Buxton Campus where students and staff were filmed trying the dish and giving their comments. Some students and staff made it into the final advert.
University of Derby Chef-Lecturer Robert Stordy said: "I was delighted that my recipe made it to the final, and making the TV advert was a fantastic experience. Of course I'd love for my dish to go on and win and to be available for people to buy in the supermarkets, but the recipe is available on the website so people can make it for themselves at home."
