UDo System Relaunch
An updated version of the University of Derby online - or UDo - system will be launched on Monday (September 6).
When staff arrive at work on Monday, the vast majority will find the UDo home page automatically comes up when they log on to their computers. There remain a few PCs where this will not be possible but these will be updated over the next few months by Information Technology Services (ITS), which is managing the UDo rollout.
Signing in to UDo will give people direct access to University corporate applications such as My HR (Human Resources), PeopleSoft and Outlook email.
Faculties and departments will also at a later stage have their own areas where they can share documents stored in a single place.
For these reasons, when in the UDo system, ITS has asked that people 'lock' their computers when not using them. This can be done by simultaneously pressing keys Ctrl, Alt and Delete on your keyboard.
For more information, UDo drop-in sessions will be in held in Room B227, in B Block at the University's Kedleston Road site, between 2pm and 5pm on:
- Tuesday September 7
- Thursday September 9
- Tuesday September 14
- Wednesday September 15.
These sessions are open to all staff and will give them the opportunity to get advice, provide feedback and report any issues they've found when using the new system.
The UDo2 Team in the University can also be contacted on ext. 1234 or email: UDo2team@derby.ac.uk
