Team Need Your Help To Improve International Students' Journey
26 January 2011
We want to do even more to improve the process for our international students, during what can be for them a very confusing and anxious time.
”Jean Mutton, Student Experience Project Manager
The Student Experience Team is working hard to improve our international students' journey from initial interest in study at Derby through to readiness for teaching and learning, and they need your help.
If you are in contact with international students at any point on this journey (you might play a role in their recruitment, application process, induction or enrolment), then Student Experience need you to get involved in focus groups.
The three sessions will take place at the following dates and times:
- Wednesday February 16 1-2pm (Markeaton Street)
- Friday February 18 1-2pm (Buxton)
- Tuesday February 22 1-2pm (Kedleston Road)
They will give you the chance to share your views and opinions on the current processes, and your thoughts on how it could be improved.
Jean Mutton, Student Experience Project Manager, said: "The Student Transition Project is looking at how the University can make the first experience of these students as straightforward as it can be.
"Last year we made some real improvements to the general enrolment process - a reduction in queuing time by one hour for example - and we want to do even more to improve the process for our international students, during what can be for them a very confusing and anxious time."
