The work of Village Aid, which will benefit from the students' charity auction

Students at the Buxton campus are hosting a fundraising charity auction from 7pm in the Buxton Dome this Thursday, February 24.  The money  they raise will go to Village Aid to provide a bore-hole for a Gambian village; one that will provide the community with fresh water for the very first time.

During the auction, which will be hosted by local celebrity auctioneer, Charles Hanson, you could get your hands on some fantastic and unique items including

  • Afternoon tea with the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire
  • a Derby County FC football signed by Nigel Clough and first team players
  • a tour of the Royal Crown Derby factory including the Titanic Exhibition
  • an original piece of artwork by a local artist
  • a signed first edition book
