We've had some great feedback from our students who have discovered some career opportunities specific to their industries.

University of Derby Buxton students got the opportunity to meet and discuss future career opportunities with a host of national businesses at their campus recently.

On February 15, around 30 national and local events, hospitability, hair, beauty and spa, and outdoor businesses attended the 'Spring Employers Day' - and spoke to the students about opportunities and career development in their industry.

Elemis, Best Western Hotel & Spas, The British Mountaineering Council, Capita Symonds, Wella, and the British Red Cross were just a few of the national businesses offering internships, work placements, gap year ideas, postgraduate study options and even graduate careers opportunities

Ben Offord, from the University's Employability Portal said: "The Employers Day was a fantastic success. We've had some great feedback from our students who have discovered some career opportunities specific to their industries.

"We must thank all of the businesses who came along, and the students for making it a big success."

Tsvia Vorley, Sales and Marketing Manager for Danubius Hotels Group said: "The event was well planned, professionally organised and succeeded to demonstrate all the good work the team do - creating a University with a difference."
