Staff Raise Cash For Movember Campaign
1 December 2011
Male members of staff at the University's Buxton Campus have raised a staggering £1,300 - simply by going without shaving for a month. The men grew moustaches as part of this year's Movember campaign, which raises vital funds for research into men's health issues, specifically prostate and other male cancers.
The men, who were led in their mission by Buxton College Public Services Lecturer Richard Robinson, were supported in their campaign by staff and students on the campus.
Richard said: "Thank you to all 'Mo brothers and sisters' for their efforts; it is amazing what a small team of people can achieve when we work together.
"Particular thanks should go to students, staff, family and friends who have given so generously, and don't forget that there is still time to donate. Simply follow the link below."
