Staff Intranet Now The Place To Go

Several of the University Faculties and Departments now have a live presence on the new staff intranet. With details about the work and remit of each department, as well as a who's who of team members, the intranet provides staff with a font of useful information.
Departments with their own sites include:
- IT Services
- Marketing
- Finance
- BDU
- Estates
- Executive
The Business Computing and Law and Flexible and Partnership Learning Faculties also have their own sites.
Staff can access all of these sites from the UDo homepage (which should load automatically when you log in each day, or type udo.derby.ac.uk into your web browser).
New staff directory
The staff directory is also now available within UDo. It contains all key contact details for staff across the University. You can also request to change your information from these pages. As it is the intention to decommission some of the existing staff directory services over the coming months, please ensure this UDo staff directory becomes your place to go!
What's happening next?
All University demartments and faculties that do not already have a presence on the intranet will be working towards creating their 'shop window' or minimum presence over the next month or so. Then during February and March, data that no longer needs an external web presence on www.derby.ac.uk will be removed.
Internal communications
As the staff intranet is going to become the main source of information for all staff, colleagues from Marketing and HR are working on developing guidance for everyone about how to use it effectively. Discussions are happening this month and we hope to have further reports in each one of these emails.
Training available
