SEA Looks Forward To Another Successful Year

1 September 2010

Student employment

The Student Employment Agency had another busy year in 2009/10 helping many of the University's students find work.

Internal employment opportunities for students across University departments included; support at key promotional events - the clearing visit day for Admissions and general open days for Central Marketing, general administrative support for the School of Flexible Partnership and Learning, and transcribing and translating for EHS and BCL.

Our students value the opportunity to gain valuable work experience as well as the chance to earn extra money, and the Student Employment Agency is working closely with colleagues in the Career Development Centre to ensure that our students understand the importance of building upon their skills set. The 'Skill Builder' campaign was launched last year to recognise this.

The Agency can support internal department's recruitment needs, no matter how short term. So please get in touch on 01332 3081830 or via email sea@derby.ac.uk, if you need any support. Or, we have an office in the Atrium of the Kedleston Road site, so pop into to see us.
