New Website Will Help Students Be Employable

Buxton students have help accessing the best work placements
Students can now log on to a dedicated website to access the top work placements opportunities in the region and even around the world.
www.udbemployable.co.uk has been developed to provide Buxton Faculty's students with work placements relating to their courses. Students apply for placement vacancies, much as they would apply for a job, and their application goes through a short listing and interview process with the employer.
Ben Offord, the Buxton Faculty's new dedicated Work Placement Officer, said: "Udbemployable.co.uk is aimed at Buxton students who need to build in work placements as part of their course. From sports to travel, hairdressing and beauty, there are lots of fantastic opportunities on there; many are local, but we also have opportunities in France, the USA and some even further afield."
The Work Placements Officer can be found in the Dome in office DOG/08, and is looking forward to providing students with help and guidance. The role has been developed to ensure that Buxton retains and develops strong links with businesses that provide its students with work placement opportunities.
