Learn about motorycle safety at event on June 10

Motorcycle enthusiasts at the University of Derby Buxton are inviting current and would-be motorcyclists to the Devonshire Dome at the Buxton Campus on Thursday June 10 from 10am until 4pm for advice, safety tips and freebies.

Representatives from BikeSafe, an organisation that works with the biking world to help lower the number of motorcycle rider casualties, will be available throughout the day. Members of the public are welcome come along, get the best advice on motorcycle safety, pick up a free Highway Code or reflective vest, and check out the newest police motorcycle.

Local training school, Easy Rider Motorcycle Training, will be available to answer your questions about learning to ride a motorcycle, from your first ride through to advanced training.

There will be stands from local motorcycle dealers, and you can even have a go on a virtual motorcycling game, when the rider of the fastest lap will win a fantastic prize.

James Brown, Transport and Travel Manager at the University of Derby, said: "If you currently ride a motorcycle or you're thinking about learning to ride, come along and see us in the Devonshire Dome in Buxton on June 10 to find out all you need to know."
