IT Support 'Drop-in Centre' team

The IT Support 'Drop-in Centre' team are ready to answer your queries.

More than 250 staff have visited the new IT Support 'Drop-in Centre' at the Kedleston Road site since it opened in October.

The centre - in Room B108 in B Block - came about after feedback from the recent IT Services Survey, in which staff said they felt they would benefit from a facility where they could speak face-to-face with IT Services representatives regarding queries, issues and requests.

It is open weekdays from 8:30am to 5pm.

The Drop-in Centre is a one stop shop for IT and communications queries, including:

  • desktop support for hardware, software and peripherals
  • classroom audio-visual equipment support
  • provision and maintenance of access to administrative applications, network/servers and storage, telecommunications, websites and e-mail
  • procurement of IT equipment and telephones
  • business analysis and project management
  • 'off air' TV recording provision
  • on Freedom of Information and Data Protection Acts.

The IT Service Desk will be available to receive your emails and calls as usual, and can be contacted on email: ITServiceDesk@Derby.ac.uk or by calling 01332 591234 (ext 1234) between 8am and 6pm Mondays to Thursdays, and 8am to 5.30pm Fridays.
