Inspirational Talk From Business Leader
4 March 2011
L-R University Programme Leader, Isobel Stockdale with (from Elemis) Vicci Higgs, Nicci Anstey and guest speaker Noella Gabrielle, John Harrington and Jane Crebbin-Bailey of HCB Associates. Assistant Dean of the University of Derby Buxton Sarah Rawlinson, with Tony Loynes, Assistant Subject Manager (Hospitality & Spa).
An audience of over 90 University of Derby Buxton students gathered to hear an inspirational talk from a businesswoman at the top of her field recently.
The International Spa Management BSc (Hons) students gave Elemis Director of UK Sales, Noella Gabrielle, a rapturous reception when she visited their campus.
The University's Devonshire Spa is the only spa Elemis allows trainees to use its products.
After delivering a well-received presentation on her career, Noella then led the students in a stimulating discussion about what is required of spa industry therapists, managers and leaders in the 21st century.
Noella joins a list of other industry leaders who have met with Buxton students, including Mandarin Oriental Hotel Groups' Spa Director, Andrew Gibson, and Justin Musgrove of Bannatyne's Health Clubs.
Noella Gabrielle will visit the University's Buxton campus again in June when it is the venue for the British International Spa Association (BISA)'s annual conference. At the conference on 23 and 24 June 2011, she will speak about the efficacy of products and treatments, and the spa industry's responsibility to its clients.
