Students heard about the reality of CSR within the business spectrum from corporates to pre-start-ups.

They also debated a number of hot topics including:

  • What is CSR v sustainability v social enterprise v shared value v traditional business?
  • What is driving responsible business forwards?
  • The main global guidelines and standards
  • Ethical business in sport
  • Leadership case studies - the good, the bad and the ugly
  • CSR communications - reports, social media and consumer badges

Dan Parnell, lecturer on the BA (Hons) Sport and Exercise Studies degree, said: "The students got a lot out of this visiting lecture from Coethica. Reputation has never been more important in the world of sport and having a good knowledge of CSR will undoubtedly benefit them in their future careers."
