An exhibition of photographs taken by students from Peak School begins within the Dome at University of Derby Buxton on 7 May 2010.

The 11 Peak School students aged 16 to 19 have been attending University of Derby Buxton as part of the school link programme throughout the last year. And the children, who all have either a physical or learning disability, have been using their new-found photography skills to capture their lives and the local environment.

Debbie Ayers, Leader of the School Link Programme said: "Viewing, discussing and creating images can be a passage to self discovery for these children, and really enhances their self-esteem. This exhibition is a celebration of the photographs, animation and films created by the children, who have all really benefited from discovering this new form of self expression and creativity."

The exhibition runs in the Dome for two weeks from 7  May 2010.
