The Annual Volunteering Fair
Our Annual Volunteering Fair took place at the beginning of November and this year it was bigger than ever. Over 50 organisations including Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation, Derby Constabulary, Victim Support and plenty more attended to make students, staff and members of the public aware of the various local and national volunteering opportunities available.
The bigVbus outside the Atrium attracted a lot of attention offering people the chance take part in an instant volunteering opportunity as well as plenty of workshops including how to succeed at any interview and volunteering abroad.
If you were unable to make it to the fair and you are interested in volunteering, our Volunteering Newsletter with every organisation that attended the fair is available on our website, www.derby.ac.uk/careers or in the Career Development Centre on the lower ground floor of the library.
We also have work placements and graduate vacancies available on our vacancies database which can be found on our website. We have job opportunities for every sector and it is updated daily.
A few companies that are currently advertising with us include Jaguar, Rolls-Royce Plc, DHL, Premier Foods, the Co-operative Group and TUI Travel. All students need to do is register to the database to see all the vacancies available to them.
