Beauty Event Raises Charity Cash

The University of Derby Buxton welcomed Margaret Spencer from Buxton's Cancer Research UK shop on Wednesday 9 November, to hand them a cheque for £334.77 raised by students through a charity beauty event.
The International Spa Management BSc (Hons) students raised the money at an event earlier this year by giving discounted beauty treatments and massages, and product sales.
Margaret Spencer said: "We are really grateful to the students for this donation. Every penny we receive goes to fund world class cancer research that we know changes people's lives."
Students Charlene Hardy and Rebecca Mills gave around 50 beauty treatments on the day, and were delighted to raise more than £300.
