All Change In Buxton Office Moves

It was all-change at the Buxton Campus during July and August when the majority of staff members were involved in office moves.
It took nine days for the 187 people affected to be moved with the help of Estates, Communications, IT Services and Johnsons Business Moves. The changes were to create more teaching space within the Dome.
Some teams that you would have previously found in the Dome have been moved to other campus buildings; The Dean can now be found just off the Dome in the Service Block alongside the Assistant Deans, as can Exec admin support. HE and FE Programme Support can also be found there.
- Marketing and SSIS have moved out of the Dome to Chiswick House (Marketing - second floor, SSIS - ground floor), where you can also find Health & Safety and Timetabling
- ITS have moved from the Dome to Northwood House
- Finance and Admin reception are still in the Dome - but can now be found in DO117/118
- Business Development Unit are also still in the Dome - but are now in DO G06
- Careers can now be found in the Dome - DOG22, as can Workforce Development.
And across the other buildings;
In Lismore Villas you can now find;
- HE Subject managers (second floor)
- FE Skills For Life (ground floor)
- FS Business Studies (first floor)
- HE and FE Sport still in LS (second floor)
- HE Tourism (ground floor)
- HE Events Management (second floor)
- FE Motor Vehicles (first floor)
In Northleigh House you can now find:
- FE Hair, Beauty and Spa and HE Spa (second floor)
- FE Hospitality offices (first/second floor)
- HE Hospitality (ground floor)
In Northwood House:
- HE and FE Outdoor activities,
- ITS
- Dome Events (Tara Silverman)
Dr Peter Dewhurst, Dean of the University Derby Buxton commented: "Whilst we should not underestimate the challenges presented to colleagues by the room moves that have taken place over the last few weeks, I have been heartened by the positive feedback and believe that as well as delivering into service two excellent new teaching rooms (DO110 and DO113c), the moves will help us deliver an enhanced service to both our students and colleagues".
