The National Student Employment Week takes place 22nd - 25th February 2010.

This is your chance to start thinking about your future. It's a national, annual event for your chance to come together with employers. As well as recruitment drives from various well known organisations there will be an opportunity to test your skills and work on your CV.

Virtual Fair

From 22nd February 2010, you'll be able to find information on employers and their latest opportunities for voluntary or part-time paid vacancies, placements and summer work. Since this Fair will run around the clock you can visit - and revisit - any time of the day and night convenient to you. There is no registration required.

Monday 22nd February

  • CV Clinic - 11am-12 noon, Atrium, Kedleston Road. Get your CV checked at this drop-in session.

Tuesday 23rd February

  • East Midlands Airport - find out about latest vacancies to work for the many companies based at the airport
  • Work/ Study Abroad Fair, 11am-3pm, Atrium, Kedleston Road. Full details...
  • Volunteering Overseas - 11am-3pm, Atrium, Kedleston Road. Find out about the latest opportunties overseas. 
  • University of Derby Award (for Employability, Leadership and Management) - find out how the Award enables you to develop and maximise the benefits of your extracurricular activities, such as volunteering, paid work or running your own business, and increase skills highly sought after by employers.

Wednesday 24th February

  • Careers Cafe at Britannia Mill, 11am-2pm
  • European Employment Service (EURES), 1.30-4pm, Atrium, Kedleston Road - provides information and advice to individuals who wish to live, work or study in Europe.
