About the course
This course offers the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills to pursue a career in motorsport or mechanical and manufacturing engineering or materials technology and management. It gives you the opportunity to obtain the latest knowledge and experience in the fast moving world of modern motorsport, through a course that's flexible and hands on.
It has been developed with input from the motorsport industry, the Motorsport Industry Association and the governing bodies for British motorcycle sport. It's open to you if you're suitably qualified and work within the industry, or if you have a keen interest in motorcycle engineering.
This course is also accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineering and The Engineering Council.
Your career
You'll gain a qualification which is nationally recognised within the motorsport industry, so you will have a sound basis from which to develop your career. You will also have the option to seek employment as a senior level technician in the motorsport industry - some of our graduates have gained employment in engine design, chassis design and analysis composites technology and tyre design.
With this qualification, you'll also be able to top up to a BEng (Hons) in Motorcycle Engineering or to a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering.

This is a resource intensive course.
UK/EU students
- Full time: £7,495 (each year)
- Part time: £935 per module (you usually take 12 of these modules in total).
International students
- Full time: £9,975 (each year)
