About this module

Models have become increasingly important to all areas of practice by both providing a clear theoretical base and a structure in which to develop interventions and to obtain information required.

Occupational Therapists are becoming increasingly involved in implementing models of practice. Any model before it is applied must be analysed and evaluated if it is to work effectively. The majority of better known models have been developed in the North American continent, and these need translating if they are to be implemented into a different health care system.
