Knowing that I was being taught by lecturers who shared my passion for film was very inspiring to me
"I’ve lived in Derby all of my life and I have a real soft spot for the city and surrounding areas, so I knew I wanted to stay close when I went to university. I also knew people who had been to the University of Derby to study Film and they each praised it. So it was a no brainer! My time at the University of Derby was instrumental in where I am now. Each day at work, I’m putting everything I learned at university into practice. Had I not gone to the University of Derby to study, I honestly don’t think I’d be where I am right now. Many of the lecturers were very ‘plugged in’ to the film community in Derby, which also inspired me to get involved with it too."
