About the course

This course gives you a sound basis in engineering principles and practical experience. You'll specialise in modules such as engineering design and modelling and engineering management. All of these subjects are essential to a modern mechanical engineer.

You'll also take an individual project module to extend your research and development skills and to give you real experience solving an engineering problem in industry. It's an excellent way for prospective employers to assess your skills for your first job or for career development.

You could go on to take an MSc Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and work towards becoming a Chartered Engineer.

  • Part time: £935 per module (you usually take 18 of these modules in total).
