» What have you enjoyed most about the course?
So far I have enjoyed the challenge of education having left college 12 years ago, I was a little rusty when it came to learning, but I have been well supported by the teaching staff and I feel I have picked things up quickly. The designing and making working circuits has been great. And learning the theory behind them in the module Products and their Design has been a highlight.
» What do you think to the facilities and equipment?
The equipment we have needed so far has been up to the job and easy to use. The facilities at Markeaton Street are good.
» How have you found the lecturers and their support?
The support I have received so far has been really good and I personally feel that the staff have really gone out of their way to help us feel at ease. I didn't expect this sort of support but I have been pleasantly surprised and it has helped me to find my feet with the course.
» What do you think to the University and Derby?
All round I have been impressed with the university, it has a good community feel to it. If there are any issues everyone works very hard to try and sort them out. Derby is a very diverse and vibrant city that's on the up.
» What would you say to somebody thinking of coming here to study your course?
I have already recommended the university to other people and I was drawn in to coming here on my wife's good reports as she is studying for her Psychology degree. I would say that I feel that the support offered here is the key to getting a good degree.
