Assistive software overview
Assistive software overview
This video tutorial will give you an overview of some of the specialist software we provide to help you use the computers, and to help you with your studies.
Some of the software you will use alongside other software. For example you may need to use magnifying software whilst using the internet or Microsoft Word. Other types of software, like Mind Genius, are tools to help with study skills.
This tutorial covers
- TechDis Toolbar - to help you when viewing Internet Explorer
- TextHelp Read and Write - which reads pages of text to you
- Accessibility options built in to Windows XP (particularly Windows Magnifier)
- MindGenius - a mind mapping tool.
Please also see our other, more detailed tutorials about TextHelp Read and Write, and MindGenius.
