Hello
I am the Subject Librarian for all courses within University of Derby Buxton, including Access and Foundation at Derby and the Buxton College of FE. I'm here to make sure we have the resources, whether printed or online, to support your course, and to help you make the most of them. I look forward to meeting you at a library induction or workshop.
How I can help
You can contact me in the library, by phone or email. I can help you make full use of the library, including:
- Finding information for an assignment
- Researching your dissertation
- Using library print and electronic resources
- Advice about study skills, including referencing
- Providing subject guides
- Discussing any issues or enquiries with you
I am also responsible for the provision of the Library service at the Devonshire Campus (Buxton) and work closely with students and academic staff to develop your library service and resources. I attend the FE STARS committee and HE Programme Committees, so if you have any feedback or questions about the Library you can ask your course rep to raise them for you at these forums. Of course you are also welcome to come and talk to me directly!
Support for Academic Staff
If you are a member of staff and want to arrange a library induction for yourself, order new library resources, arrange information skills workshops for your students, have course readings digitised, wish to discuss classroom technology equipment (at Buxton) or have any other enquiries, please contact me.
