The library is situated in its own building on the Kedleston Road site of the University, and is entered through the Atrium.
Term time opening times
- Monday - Thursday: 8.00am - 10.30pm (Enquiry desk, IT Help and Loan Service 8.30am - 9.00pm)
- Friday: 8.00am - 7.00pm (Enquiry desk, IT Help and Loan Service 8.30am - 5.00pm)
- Saturday: 10.00am - 5.00pm (No enquiry desk service 1.00pm - 5.00pm)
- Sunday:1.00pm - 5.00pm (No enquiry desk service)

Summer opening times
Our summer opening times run from 16 June to 9 September. We return to term time opening on Monday 10 September.

Access
An access control system operates. All staff and students need their University ID cards for access. Provision is made for visitors to sign in at the library reception desk.
Wheelchair access assistance and a lift key is available from the library's reception desk.
Lost property
If you believe you may have left your belongings in the library, please ask the staff at the library reception desk.
Please note that if USB memory sticks are handed in to us, we will view them in an attempt to identify and return them to their rightful owners.
