New features in the Library Catalogue
Have you seen the new features in the library catalogue?
'People who borrowed this also borrowed...'
Just click on the link 'People who borrowed this also borrowed' underneath the picture of the book cover, or scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Similar to the Amazon feature 'Customers who bought this item also bought', this new feature may be useful to identify other books to widen your reading, or as alternatives if the item you originally looked at was out on loan to another borrower.
Extra book information gives wider searching
The Library has also bought additional information for the catalogue record for many of our books. Not all titles are covered, but where it is available you will see links under the image of the book cover, or at the bottom of the page.
This additional information includes tables of content, author notes, reviews from commerial organistaions and the text from the back cover of the book. This new data is fully searchable, helping you find even more relevant books . Results from the title and descriptions fields are given higher priority than results from the table of contents, but now the list of results will also include books where the word you searched for may not be in the title of the book, but is a chapter listed in the table of contents.
