Learning Beyond Registration
Learning Beyond Registration (LBR) is a vital part of developing competent, capable health service practitioners prepared to deliver a dynamic, flexible, quality, client-focused service. If you're employed by the NHS in the East Midlands then you may be eligible for fee-free access to our LBR modules and/or programmes. You'll need to supply evidence of approval from your line manager and Trust Education Lead when you apply.
About this module
This module is designed for senior health care professionals and brings together essential principles of leadership and management, recognising the challenges of working in these fields. It is designed to assist staff in senior positions to become more influential within their roles, improving standards and professionalism.
You will develop skills to be able to evaluate the dynamics and challenges of an established professional working within complex systems as preparation of your role as an effective leader, manager.
This module provides an excellent opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange of ideas of interest to a wide range of disciplines. It enables participation for students who prefer a one to one approach or by virtual mentorship and tuition achieved by its blended learning approach.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this module you will be able to:
- Evaluate the dynamics and challenges of an established professional working within complex systems as preparation of your role as an effective leader, manager or consultant.
- Appraise and critically analyse the processes of strategic leadership and management.
- Examine current and unchanging consistent issues in leadership, management and consultancy.
- Critically evaluate how the learning gained has relevance to KSF dimensions relevant to their role.
