Skype for Learning

During the last year Mabel Ann Brown, Dr. Des Hewitt and Charlie Davis have been working jointly on a project exploring how Skype, a technology which supports voice and video calls over the Internet, can be used to support sustainable and innovative learning in a range of different educational settings. We have been working collaboratively with others from within the University of Derby as well as schools in order to identify good practice with which to support learning in a variety of domains.

On Thursday 9th June, 2011 findings from the project were presented at a dissemination event at the University of Derby Enterprise Centre. This website has been designed to provide users with information about the project and also to disseminate its findings. There are also a wide range of help materials in video and print format which will help support those wishing to use Skype in educational contexts.
