LEI designed this informal space in conjunction with the faculty team. The brief challenged the team to use previously under utilised space and create learning environments that were technology enabled, comfortable and allowed an informality to be introduced to student learning. The ground floor has been transformed with bespoke bench seating and tables designed to reflect the shape of the space. Three touch down desks where created in the window spaces which are all wired with power for mobile devices. The project has delivered over 100 spaces in total for students to socialise before and after lectures and negotiate the way they learn together or individually with the latest audio visual technologies to hand.
