Video Booth
What is it?
The Video Booth in B114 allows you to quickly and easily record video presentations and share them with students through Course Resources. Your presentation could simply be you talking to camera or you can also show Powerpoint slides or screen capture to emphasise key points.
What do I use it for?
Examples include:
- Module introductions
- Preparing students for lectures
- Lecture summaries
- Revision aids
- Sharing messages with students
How does it work?
The Video Booth is fully equipped with a high quality camera, lighting and sound. We can sit with you to operate the technology and record you presenting to camera as if you were talking directly to your students. Before you arrive it is useful to have prepared what you want to say and bring some bullet points or notes to work from along with any Powerpoint slides you want to include.
We can capture your presentation in sections so you don't have to record everything in one go, and you can record again if it doesn't come across as you want it to. After you have finished recording, we can assist you to upload the video straight into Course Resources and give you advice to help you share it with students.
If you are interested in using the Video Booth please contact Matt Howcroft or Rob Higson or drop in to B114 to arrange a suitable time for you to record.
