Turning Point Voting System
What is it?
TurningPoint is an interactive group response system which is used with PowerPoint. It captures and displays audience responses during a presentation.
How does it work?
Interactive PowerPoint slides are created using TurningPoint. Existing PowerPoint slides can be made interactive by adding TurningPoint charts to them. The slides are then presented like any normal PowerPoint presentation and the audience can give their answers using response devices. After the voting on a slide is closed, results are displayed as a chart. At the end of the presentation, the results can be generated into reports which are presented as Excel files.
What do I use it for?
Examples include:
- Formative assessment
- Getting feedback e.g. about a lecture or module
- Capturing audience opinions
- Measuring achievement of learning outcomes
Where do I find it?
You can find it on a University computer by going to "Run Advertised Programmes" via the Start menu.
