Creating learning materials
A quality educational experience is not only about good student-tutor and student-student interaction but also providing quality content using audio and video technologies. As a team we can help tutors design content and to find new and interesting ways of promoting learning.
Common techniques currently include:
- Audio to PowerPoint slide - a very simple way of capturing the voice of an expert and overlaying it on PowerPoint slides.
- Screen Capture (with audio) - a simple but effective method of taking a video of what you see on a part of your computer screen and accompanying it with your own audio narrative. The video can be of a web navigation, use of specialist software or anything that can be viewed on screen.
- Using computerised quizzes and tests - to prompt reflection and self-assessment
All of these types of content can then be "wrapped up" in single website, resulting in a comprehensive learning package for your students.
Interactive content can also be developed to enhance traditional, blended and distance learning.
