Copying Modules
When eSubmission is being used we have to be careful not to copy across the Turnitin submission points.
At the start of a new academic year or semester, you may wish to copy content from an old module into a new module area. This can be achieved using a feature called Module Copy.
You may wish to look at the module copy help guide which explains in greater depth how to copy a module without copying the Turnitin submission points.
What happens If I do copy and then delete the Turnitin Submission point?
If you delete the submission point from the new module the submission point will also be removed the your old module.
When a submission point is deleted all student submitted work and tutor marking (on Grademark) is also deleted. There currently appears to be no way to retrieve any student work if this was to happen.
How do I ensure I do not copy a Turnitin submission point?
When you are in the process of a module copy Do Not select the Assessments folder. This will mean that anything else in the assessments folder will also not be copied. You will need to upload things like assignment information separately.
What can I do if I have already copied a Turnitin submission point?
Do not under any circumstances delete the copied submission point
This submission point will have to remain on the module, but we can hide it from students on the new module. Please contact us if you have copied a submission point and need assistance.
How do I use eSubmission on my new module
You can still use the eSubmission system on the new module. You will have to create a new submission point.
