Post Approval
This section provides important information to support staff in the roll out of the 20 Credit Framework post approval.
Which programmes are approved to still operate within the 15 Credit Framework?
Due to a variety of reasons a small number of programmes have been approved by the University to continue, in the short term, to deliver 15 credit modules. However, from September 2015 the University will have no remaining 15 credit modules being delivered. A list of all programmes that currently operate within the 15 credit framework are published in the 20 Credit Exception register.
What arrangements are in place to address any credit shortfall?
As part of the transition arrangements to support the move from 15 to 20 credits, the University has sought to ensure that no student should be disadvantaged. Mechanisms have been developed to cover two possible scenarios:
- Credit shortfall of 15 credits or more, or to make good failure
- Credit shortfall of 10 credits or fewer, where there are no failures
It is important that you understand the arrangements and where to seek further clarification. This information can be found in the Guidance on Credit Shortfall Bulletin.
