Creativity and Innovation: Enhancing the Student Learning Experience

On 5 July 2012, LEI hosted the University's largest ever annual Learning and Teaching Conference: Creativity and Innovation: Enhancing the Student Learning Experience, with over 250 delegates attending at the Buxton Campus. Professor Graham Gibbs, former Director of the Oxford Learning Institute, University of Oxford, provided a stimulating keynote: Improving Student Learning by Changing Assessment Across Entire Programmes, which provoked much debate amongst the audience.

There was a variety of presentations, workshops, discussion groups, posters and demonstrations from colleagues across the University, together with a range of external exhibitors who demonstrated examples of the latest technologies and furniture for use in classrooms of the future. The event concluded with a lively panel debate involving students from Woodlands School, Landau Forte Academy, The Long Eaton School and graduates of our own University.

Thanks to everyone who helped to make the day such a success.
