On July 7th 2011, over 250 delegates attended the University's Annual LTA Conference: Learning@ Derby: The Future Direction at the Buxton Campus. The day began with a stimulating presentation from our keynote speaker: Prof Colin Beard, who provoked much discussion following his talk on: 'Space, transformation & troublesome knowledge in physical & virtual learning environments.'

There was a variety of presentations, workshops, posters and demonstrations from colleagues across the University, together with a range of external exhibitors who demonstrated examples of latest technologies and equipment for the classroom of the future. The event concluded with a lively panel debate involving students from the History department, their tutors and Prof Liz Barnes (PVC).

Thanks to everyone who helped to make the day such a success.
