On-line resources for teaching

The careers service has developed a number of resources which can be integrated into modules. These cover topics such as what is PDP, the value of being a graduate, skills, mindsets, and motivations, and enterprise and entrepreneurship, and social enterprise.

These can be accessed from the Careers tab on UDo.

For teaching students about CVs and applications there are more resources accessible via the CDC website, including a CV Builder package, which has employer videos within it.

In addition the careers team developed three learning objects that covered; working in teams, communicating confidently and presentation skills

The Career Conversations Toolkit is to support tutors or other staff, likely to be having 1-1 conversations with students about their personal development planning. This resource is described in more detail on the Staff training and development section.
