Why I started a degree
I felt that gaining a degree would help me further my career and make me stand out from the crowd in a tough jobs market. Studying Criminology at Derby has been very interesting and I now wish to become a fraud investigator for SOCA.
My career
I want a career in fraud investigation. The modules on the course have really helped me understand this area, particularly the Crime in Action module which focused on how investigators conduct their investigations.
Supportive lecturers
I've had a great time at Derby and the lecturers have supported and encouraged me throughout my time here. The lecturers have had a very big impact on my education and I feel without their support, I would have struggled to complete my degree. They have all given me a lot of support, alongside making me realise my responsibilities.
Making new friends
Whilst studying I have made many new friends, which is great. I wouldn't change a thing about my experience here. Derby has great facilities, my favourite being the Students' Union bar! I would definitely recommend Derby to others.
