Some of our research

Jamie Grace

Jamie Grace has worked on a number of published research papers, and is also a member of our Law in Society Research Group

Our work is genuinely changing understanding of justice systems.

Our staff don't work to quotas of published papers, but to quality and relevance to the teaching curriculum. It's because of this approach that our teaching is so vibrant and relevant.

Many members of our Law in Society Research Group have editorial positions on sector journals and present their findings at conferences, both in the UK and internationally.

Our researchers have also contributed to presentations at the recent annual conferences organised by the Society of Legal Scholars, the Association of Law Teachers and the Socio-Legal Studies Association.

Our research includes:

  • Securing constitutional privacy: The hard choice between autonomy and self-determination of decisional privacy, Association of Legal and Social Philosophy Conference, University of Southampton, 2010 (Jamie Grace)
  • Principles as Comparative Constitutional Denominators, WG Hart Legal Workshop 2010 - Comparative Aspects of Constitutions: Theory and Practice, Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London, 29 June-1 July 2010 (Dr Antonios Platsas)
