Research

We don't do research just for its own sake

All our research has a purpose, enabling us to really make a difference. Our research plays a major role in supporting what we teach to our students, and directly helps organisations to solve real world issues. We believe that applied research is an essential feature of a university like ours.

All of our research groups combine the best of both worlds by having strong connections with the Derbyshire region and active international links. Their work - only some of which is highlighted in this area - often contributes directly to the development and well-being of the region.
