Unique in-company placements
At Derby, we offer the unique Clinic module as an option for all our law courses.
You'll have the opportunity to learn in a real professional environment through a short placement related to your area of study, so you can develop your understanding of the operational and professional context of justice systems through critical observation and participation. You'll be able to demonstrate a thorough grasp of professional practice and procedure in a working context relevant to your study. For example, if you wish to explore an aspect of commercial law, you could spend your Clinic placement in the legal department of a large company.
