It's more than just learning....
The LLM gave me the opportunity to concentrate on subject areas that really interested me, but which were limited at the undergraduate level. Initially I thought it would be a simple continuation from the LLB, but I was surprised to find how much more is involved at masters level.
The LLM isn't just about continuing to learn, it's about self development. It's about giving you the opportunity to be much more than just a graduate. You become a self-motivated, self-sufficient learner and critical analyst. The LLM has taught me how to think for myself, how to form and develop opinions and, most importantly, how to stand by them. Not only has my understanding of those subject areas deepened, but I have learned how to continue that development and broaden my knowledge.
The emphasis on research and critical analysis has given me skills that have spilled over into all areas of my working life. These additional skills - and the confidence that the course has given me to use them - are tools that are invaluable for every professional and academic.
