Courtroom
The Voice UK Courtroom
Donated by the Lord Chancellor's Department (now Department for Constitutional Affairs), the 350 person capacity Courtroom in many ways sums up the Derby approach: learning by doing and enabling people to advocate their views and beliefs effectively.
It's used for many activities including mooting and advocacy assessments, forensic science cross-examinations and expert witness training sessions.
Your time in the Courtroom
It's where you'll:
- spend most of each day of the first two weeks
- first speak in front of your group
- have some of the most memorable (and perhaps less memorable) lectures
- test your skills as an advocate
- sit in judgement on your colleagues.
We've recently refurbished the Courtroom and it now includes cameras and digital recording equipment to guarantee that lessons can be learned again and again.
