About the sessions
Introduction/English Legal System
This session explores how law is made and who makes the law in England and Wales.
Criminal Law
We study the elements required to commit a crime and consider that a mental element, as well as a physical act, is always needed. Some of the most common crimes are considered, as well as some of the most serious.
Comparative/EU Law
Is English or EU paramount in England and Wales? What is EU Law in any event? What does it mean to compare two legal jurisdictions? This class explores these questions and others besides.
Medical Law
Who owns your body? There is no legal definition of 'death' so who owns your organs at the point of death? Is it possible for the Government to introduce compulsory organ donation? These, and other, topical issues will be discussed.
